WHO WE ARE

AN INDEPENDENT STAGE FOR NEWCASTLE

The Den is a dedicated live-music venue in the heart of Newcastle's Midtown precinct, built around a purpose-fitted band room and a separate second bar.

With a 120-person capacity, we sit deliberately between the pub gig and the big room — giving local and emerging artists somewhere to step up, and giving touring acts a proper Newcastle stop on the route.

We work alongside, but remain distinct from, other Newcastle venues — our focus is squarely on original, contemporary live music: local bands, DJs, hip-hop, alt electronic and touring Australian artists.
